You can spot clean
your pressing surface with some mild dish soap or detergent
diluted in warm water. Use a gentle toothbrush, jewelry brush
or washcloth to clean the soiled areas. You can then dry your
pressing surface with a hair dryer.
If there is fusible present on your pressing surface, try
rubbing a fabric softener dryer sheet on it. You can also
heat press over the fabric softener dryer sheet with your
dry iron on a medium setting. The residue from the fusible
should lift onto the fabric softener dryer sheet. Incidentally,
this works great for cleaning fusible from your iron as well.

I’ve
noticed that the gridlines on my pressing surface aren’t
exact. What can I do to prevent this? |
|
|
|
|
Our pressing
surfaces are made of 100% preshrunk cotton. The gridlines
are applied to the pressing surface during a screen-printing
process. The fabric is then sewn or secured to its stabilizing
surface. Throughout this production process we maintain strict
quality guidelines and will not allow any pressing surfaces
that are distorted or inaccurate to pass a quality inspection.
Over time, especially with use with a steam iron, the cotton
has the possibility to shrink or grow. The changes should
be minimal and should not significantly affect the use of
the product. However, we recommend using your pressing surface
as a guideline only and use your ruler or cutting mat for
more precise measuring. It is helpful to avoid using excessive
body pressure on your pressing surface. This will help to
eliminate the stretching of the cotton fabric.
