Dark T-Shirt
Transfer sheets are opaque white sheets for use in your color
inkjet printer. We recommend that you trim around your image
before you iron onto your project. Anything not trimmed will
remain white once it is ironed on.

How

|
|

Design your image
on the computer using graphics, text or photos. Do NOT reverse
or mirror image. If so desired, test print your image on a
plain piece of paper. Insert a single sheet of Dark T-Shirt
Transfer paper into your printer so that printing occurs on
the plain, unmarked side of the transfer sheet. Printer should
be set at normal quality, plain paper. Print image. Allow image
to dry 30 minutes before transferring. To keep printed image
edges from tearing, gently separate the front sheet from the
backing paper just past printed image, then
replace layers. Using a scissors or craft knife, trim out image
to desired shape. Gently peel finished Dark T-Shirt Transfer
image from backing paper.

How
do I iron the Dark T-Shirt Transfer Sheets? |
|
|
|
Place a pillowcase
on a smooth, hard, heat resistant ironing surface such as
a wood cutting board. DO NOT USE
IRONING BOARD. Iron pillowcase, if necessary, to remove
wrinkles. Pre-iron project to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
Position Dark T-Shirt Transfer image FACE
UP on project surface. Cover COMPLETELY with
parchment paper provided.
NOTE: Parchment paper can
be used for multiple transfer applications.
For 100% Cotton Fabric:
Preheat iron to highest (cotton) setting. DO
NOT USE STEAM. (Empty any water that may be in iron.
Allow iron to preheat for five minutes). First, using FIRM
PRESSURE, holding the iron with both hands and applying
your body weight, iron on each area of the sheet for 20 seconds, making sure to lift the iron completely off the surface when
moving to a new position. Be sure to iron all corners and
edges of the sheet. Then using FIRM
PRESSURE, iron over the entire image using consistent
up/down and side-to-side motion for an additional 1-1/2 minutes,
making sure to iron all corners and edges. Allow the parchment
paper to cool for one to two minutes. Gently peel off parchment
paper. If applying multiple images to a single project, it
is recommended that you leave the parchment paper in place
until all images are ironed on so that the heat of other ironing applications does not
affect already fused images.
For 50/50 Polyester Cotton Blend
Fabric:
Preheat iron to medium, medium/high (wool) setting. DO
NOT USE STEAM. (Empty any water that may be in iron.
Allow iron to preheat for five minutes). First, using moderate
pressure, iron over the entire image using consistent up
and down motions for 30 seconds making sure to cover all
corners and edges. Then using moderate pressure, iron over
the entire image using consistent side-to-side motions for
30 seconds, making sure to iron all corners and edges. Repeat the previous two steps. Iron over entire surface in
a circular motion for an additional minute. (Three minutes
total pressing time). Allow the parchment paper to cool for
one to two minutes. Gently peel off parchment paper. If applying
multiple images to a single project, it is recommended that
you leave the parchment paper in place until all images are
ironed on so that the heat of other ironing applications
does not affect already fused images.
